Yes, you heard it right! While the writer and director of Kamasutra 3 D, Rupesh Paul, was pitching the concept to the producers; they mistook the film to be just revolving around porn, thus, they expressed the desire to sleep with the leading lady Sherlyn Chopra.
Rupesh while addressing the media reveals, "I had a tough time convincing the producers that my film isn't just about porn. I was taken aback when they put the condition of sleeping with my leading lady for that matter Sherlyn in return of giving me a signing amount for the film."
The filmmaker adds, "Nobody was first of all ready to listen to the synopsis forget the script. I lived in cheap hotels and ate vada pav (Indian burger). The end result was fruitful with the right financers though despite regular enquiries about whether Sherlyn is a part of the film, which was really annoying and frustrating."
Heaping praises on Sherlyn, Paul exclaims, "Sherlyn has been an integral part of the film ever since she joined me. She took me by surprise when she showed no reluctance in doing the film. She was constant support and was someone who believed in the concept with no doubts about the film."
